Benefits of HTRS Membership

Regular membership in the HTRS entitles you to participation in the affairs of the Society including initiation and participation in collaborative research protocols; a subscription to the HTRS quarterly newsletter and the journal Haemophilia; access to protocols, the newsletter and more on the HTRS Web Site; and attendance at the Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium usually held in April. Regular voting membership is restricted to physicians active in the treatment and clinical research of patients with hemophilia, other congenital bleeding disorders and thrombophilia.

Associate members (basic science researchers, nurses, social workers, other ancillary health care workers) are entitled to a subscription to the HTRS quarterly newsletter; Web Site access; and attendance at the Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium usually held in April. They may participate in HTRS protocols but may only initiate a study with the collaboration of a regular HTRS member. They may not vote or hold office or directorships on the board of the society.

A special category of industry membership is reserved for physicians and other researchers employed by industry; they may not be voting members or hold office or board directorships. They may initiate studies only through a regular member who has agreed to be the PI of the study. They are entitled to a subscription to the HTRS quarterly newsletter and attendance at the Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium usually held in April.
