University of Utah - Salt Lake City, UT
Clinical Hematologist, Non-Malignant - Hematology Division
The Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies is seeking a Board certified or Board eligible Hematologist with an interest in adult General Hematology. The Hematology Division has a faculty of five non-malignant clinical Hematologists with international reputations as clinicians and clinician-scientists. We have programs in Hemostasis, Thrombosis, Hereditary and Acquired Anemias, abnormalities of Heme and Iron Metabolism, and Myeloproliferative Disorders. Due to the continued growth of these clinical programs, the new faculty member’s clinical responsibilities will focus primarily on non-malignant hematologic disorders and primarily in the Hematology Division out-patient setting. Our faculty have a long track record of mentoring junior faculty, so the University of Utah presents a rare opportunity to build a strong career as a successful and internationally-respected academic hematologist. We also encourage candidates with aspirations of becoming clinician-scientists. Preference and additional research support would be available for candidates with existing grant support. The Hematology Division has a combined fellowship program with Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine that attracts very strong fellows.
