Genetic Counselor I
The Hemophilia of Georgia Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders of Emory is recruiting for a Genetic Counselor I. This Genetic Counselor will work with adult patients with inherited bleeding and clotting disorders. Job duties include obtaining family histories; creating multigenerational pedigrees; ordering and coordinating genetic laboratory tests; counseling patients to include risk assessment and explanation of relevant diagnostic and screening tests; pre- and post-test counseling to include test results interpretation; participation in research as appropriate; engaging in teaching/clinical supervision; identifying community resources; networking with community to implements projects; and participating in Quality Improvement initiatives.
