The Hemophilia Center at Oregon Health & Science University/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital
The Hemophilia Center, within the Institute of Development and Disability (IDD), in conjunction with the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (PHO), both within the Department of Pediatrics at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and Doernbecher Children's Hospital, are seeking a pediatric hematologist at the assistant/associate professor level with interest in building a comprehensive and inter-disciplinary thrombosis program.
Access to renowned interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons at OHSU allows for state-of-the-art thrombosis care in a pediatric setting. There is ample opportunity for collaboration with services across the Department of Pediatrics to develop best practice and team-based care at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, including a busy inpatient pediatric unit, pediatric intensive care unit, and neonatal intensive care unit. In addition, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital recently became a level-1 trauma center, which offers additional opportunity for collaboration to create venous thromboembolism prevention and treatment guidelines in this population.
