Case Western Reserve University - Sen Gupta Laboratory, Biomedical Engineering
Senior Research Associate, Research Associate, and Postdoctoral Scholar Positions
The laboratory of Dr. Anirban Sen Gupta, PhD, at Case Western Reserve University is recruiting highly motivated candidates interested in the research areas of hemostasis, thrombosis, thromboinflammation, and wound healing for the positions of Senior Research Associate, Research Associate, and Postdoctoral Scholar - Biomedical Engineering.
The positions' objectives are to advance translational biomedical research in areas including (but not limited to) the following:
- Artificial blood surrogates: Bioinspired designs of blood surrogates including artificial platelets, artificial RBCs, co-formulation in plasma for whole blood surrogate design, and evaluation using in vitro and in vivo models
- Targeted drug delivery and nanomedicine: Nanomedicine systems for targeted applications in hemostasis, thrombosis, thromboinflammation, and cancer
- Microsensor design and evaluation: Surface-engineering of dielectric microsensors for the design of hand-held portable hematologic analyzers, and
- Bioactive scaffolds and matrices: Hydrogels, tissue-adhesives and dressings for hemorrhage control, anti-infective coatings, wound care in trauma, burn, and chronic wounds
These are important research areas in the biomedical engineering program at Case Western Reserve and enrich the program's mission of "engineering better health."
