About the SEARCH Workshop

Students Exploring Academic Research Careers in Hematology (SEARCH) is a two-day interactive educational workshop for students to explore careers in biomedical research.

This workshop is for students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. Undergraduate students, medical students, and graduate students in a Master's or PhD program who are interested in a fulfilling medical and/or scientific career are encouraged to apply.

During the workshop, students will:

  • Learn, ask questions, try hands-on activities in the lab, and have fun!
  • Explore career opportunities in biomedical research
  • Engage with experts ready to share their experiences in this growing field
  • Interact with like-minded peers
