Welcome

Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of the HTRS Board of Directors, we look forward to welcoming you to the HTRS 2023 Scientific Symposium (“HTRS 2023”).
Our 2021 meeting occurred during the height of the global pandemic. A completely virtual event wasn’t exactly what we’d envisioned, but in the end, HTRS 2021 was a great success. We were reminded that our members and the hemostasis and thrombosis community at large is resilient, adaptable, good-humored, and more than willing to explore new ways to stay connected. HTRS 2021 featured the first “speed poster” session and opportunities for networking at all career levels. Enduring materials were available up to 12 months post-meeting. Perhaps best of all, the first “HTRS Talent Show” made its debut, instantly becoming an HTRS Symposium tradition.
As we continue to adapt to life in this “new normal,” our goal is to ensure that networking, mentoring, and the lively scientific exchange you’ve come to expect from HTRS continue to evolve. We’ve carefully considered feedback from past in-person meetings as well as our 2021 virtual event to create a compelling agenda for 2023.
We urge you to register, submit abstracts, and apply for in-person Travel Awards when these opportunities open in late summer 2022. For those who cannot attend in person, HTRS 2023 offers a robust digital meeting platform, making it easier than ever for all participants to connect.
Please continue to check the HTRS website (htrs.org) and your email inbox for important deadlines and meeting updates. We pledge to keep you informed as planning continues, and we can’t wait to see you, either in person or virtually, at HTRS 2023.
Best regards,
Ayesha N. Zia, MD - Chair, HTRS 2023 Scientific Symposium Planning Committee
Alisa S. Wolberg, PhD - Vice Chair, HTRS 2023 Scientific Symposium Planning Committee
