About Trainee Workshop

Trainee Workshop

The Trainee Workshop is a dynamic mix of case presentations by attending trainees, interactive presentations by faculty, small group breakout sessions, and time for networking and mentoring.

The scientific content and agenda for this Workshop are designed by the HTRS Trainee Workshop Planning Committee, comprising HTRS physician members specializing in hemostasis and thrombosis. The Committee ensures that the Workshop is free from commercial bias. Although this Workshop is non-CME, HTRS follows best practices in CME education to plan and coordinate educational content.

“Building a Career in Hemostasis and Thrombosis” is held twice annually, prior to the HTRS Scientific Symposium or THSNA Summit (held alternating years) and prior to the ASH Annual Meeting.

Who Should Apply and Attend

Each Workshop is open to 30 MDs or DOs in training (residents or fellows) interested in building careers in hemostasis and/or thrombosis in pediatric or adult medicine. If there are more than 30 competitive applications, preference will be given to applicants who have not previously attended an HTRS Trainee Workshop.

Workshop Supporters

HTRS Trainee Workshops are currently supported by educational grants to HTRS from Grifols, Takeda, and founding supporter Novo Nordisk Inc. HTRS is solely responsible for developing the agenda and overseeing the presentation of scientific content free from commercial bias.
