"The HTRS workshop was invaluable as a trainee with an interest in non-malignant hematology. The lectures and small group breakout sessions offered a balance of formal and informal didactic sessions that were engaging and extremely relevant. As an emerging consultant in this field as a trainee, it was insightful to hear how experienced experts handle challenging cases and common dilemmas. The attending physicians who graciously offered their time to teach were also gracious in spending quality time mentoring us and it was refreshing! I’m so grateful to have attended and met new friends and colleagues as well as new mentors. I would strongly encourage trainees to attend. There is something exciting about being in a room of other trainee learners and wonderful teachers that are renowned hematologists yet so approachable. As I reflect on this experience, it will truly be one of the highlights of my hematology training."
