Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) Workshop

Von Willebrand Disease - From Theory to Clinical Practice" 2025 Workshop in Malmö, Sweden:

HTRS has been commissioned by Octapharma to recruit and select up to two U.S. hematologists to attend "Von Willebrand Disease -- From Theory to Clinical Practice" 2025 Workshop from April 1-3, 2025, in Malmö, Sweden. This educational course is sponsored by Octapharma and provided by Malmö Centre for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Lund University, Malmö University Hospital, and Octapharma Nordic, Sweden in collaboration with international VWD experts.

HTRS is quickly accepting applications from U.S. hematologists who can demonstrate a need for further training in the best approaches and care of VWD patients. Participants should be hematologists treating VWD with previous experience. Successful applicants will travel to Malmö, Sweden to take part in this educational course.  

Applications are due Tuesday, March 18 by 5:00 PM ET.

This course is based on outlined lectures and interactive authentic case studies in accordance with case methodology. Participants will receive a course binder containing the course content so that the message can be shared with their own departments.  The 3-day course will begin with an introduction of VWD through a series of overview lectures, clinical cases, and the management, prognosis, treatment and diagnosis of the disease will be discussed.

Applications will be reviewed immediately and selected recipients will be notified on or before March 24, 2025.
