MEETING THEME
The HTRS 2027 theme, “Investing in the Future of Hematology,” emphasizes the importance of scientific discovery, education, mentorship, and collaboration to advance the field. As therapies evolve and patient needs change, the Symposium will focus on creating meaningful opportunities to connect experts across disciplines, inspire innovation, and support the next wave of advances in patient care and research.
The 2027 meeting marks the 15th HTRS Scientific Symposium, both a celebration of the Society’s impact and a forward-looking platform for continued progress. The program will showcase cutting-edge research, emerging clinical practices, multidisciplinary perspectives, and career development opportunities designed to support future leaders in the field.

The Return of the Multidisciplinary Pre-Conference
Expanded programming designed to foster collaboration across Advanced Practice Providers and Allied Health Professionals, with clinicians, researchers, and other interested professionals welcome to join
Member-Led “Mini Workshop” Opportunities
Expanded career development programs organized and led by HTRS members. These interactive, two-hour workshops will be selected through an application process based on topics of interest for trainees, early-career investigators, allied health professionals, and junior faculty
HTRS Annual Business Meeting
Our annual business meeting returns as an in-person biennial gathering held during the Symposium to encourage participation and engagement. Attendees can connect with Society leadership, hear organizational updates, and participate in discussions focused on the future direction of HTRS
“Stars of HTRS” Awards Ceremony
Previously hosted as a small offsite event, the Awards Ceremony will now take place within the Symposium program to provide greater visibility and recognition for our esteemed colleagues. Honorees will have the opportunity to share remarks and reflections with the broader HTRS community
A Night at the Museum
Join colleagues and peers for a unique networking reception at The Franklin Institute. The evening will feature private museum access, interactive experiences, a scavenger hunt, and dedicated time to connect outside the scientific sessions
The Dr. Lynn Malec Lecture Series
The 2027 inaugural session of this plenary lecture series honors our late colleague, HTRS board member, and friend, Lynn Malec, MD. This biennial lecture series will feature engaging scientific content and celebrate the collaborative spirit of Dr. Malec’s life and career
Continuing Education Credits
Continuing education credits will be offered through a joint partnership between Amedco LLC and HTRS, including AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for physicians, ANCC contact hours for nurses, and ACPE contact hours for pharmacists
