HTRS Award Programs support research and career development for clinicians, physician scientists, and discovery-based investigators in hemostasis and thrombosis. Awards provide additional training, mentorship, and protected time to advance academic research careers at critical junctures, such as the transition from trainee to junior faculty or from mid-career faculty to fully independent investigator. Each HTRS Award Program is led by a volunteer Chair and Vice Chair appointed by the HTRS Board of Directors. Together, the Chairs and Vice Chairs for each program form the HTRS Award Programs Council. The Council meets quarterly to review progress, ensure continuity, and develop strategic goals and objectives. The leadership of the Council, along with the time and expertise of volunteer Study Section reviewers, is central to the success of HTRS Award Programs. Since 2007, HTRS has awarded over $14 million to support member clinicians and investigators with support from our industry partners.
