Victor S. Blanchette, MD

Dr Victor S. Blanchette worked at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto for 41 years. He was the former Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology and Professor of Pediatrics. Dr Blanchette's research interests were in the areas of the congenital and acquired bleeding disorders of children. He was known among his colleagues for providing medical care to the poor and underserved. An award in his home country of Barbados is named after Dr. Blanchette.
