The 2025 HTRS SEARCH Workshop welcomed 32 students to Milwaukee, Wisconsin this past weekend!
Highlights included:
- Dynamic panels discussing mentorship and a "day in the life" of a clinical hematologist or blood research scientist, led by our distinguished faculty
- Networking tables pairing attendees with faculty mentors to explore career paths and professional opportunities
- Educational sessions on the history of research advances in hemostasis and thrombosis
- Inspiring talks where faculty shared their personal career journeys
- Hands-on lab demostrations at the Versiti Blood Research Institute
On Night 2, HTRS partnered with TeamBonding, Inc. for an evening of teamwork and giving back. Together, attendees stuffed 24 bears to be donated to Kids Matter Inc., a Milwaukee-based organization dedicated to helping abused and neglected children.
Together, HTRS, TeamBonding, and Kids Matter are showing that building new careers in science while caring for our community creates a stronger, brighter future for all.
