2026 Mid-Career Research Award - Final Reminder LOIs Due Soon
There’s still time to apply! The HTRS Awards Committee invites final Letters of Intent for the 2026 Mid-Career Research Award (MCRA). This award provides $216,000 in funding over two years to support clinical, translational, or basic science research in hemostasis and/or thrombosis.
Designed for clinicians, physician-scientists, or discovery-based scientists (MDs, DOs, PhDs, or MD/PhDs) with 5–15 years of academic research experience, the MCRA helps recipients progress to full research independence and R01-equivalent funding.
Total Award: $216,000 (two-year project)
Letters of Intent Due: Friday, October 24, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET
Eligibility (summary): Doctoral degree (MD, DO, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent); academic faculty position in the U.S. or Canada; prior career development award funding; working toward first R01 (or equivalent) in the U.S. or Canada; and HTRS Core-level membership in good standing at the time of application.
