HTRS Election Results are In!

Thank you to all HTRS Core Members who participated in the recent HTRS Board election. Your engagement and commitment help shape the future of the Society and ensure HTRS continues to represent the voices of our diverse membership.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to all candidates who put their names forward for leadership service. We are grateful for your willingness to contribute your time, expertise, and vision to the Society.

We are pleased to announce the results of the election:

Magdalena Lewandowska, MD, CACP

Treasurer: Magdalena Lewandowska, MD, CACP

Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center/Innovative Hematology

Dr. Lewandowska is a classical hematologist at IHTC/Innovative Hematology, one of the nation’s largest federally recognized hemophilia treatment centers. She conducts clinical research focused on rare bleeding disorders and leads both the FWGBD Learning Action Network clinic and the HHT Center of Excellence program at IHTC. She is also an active speaker at national and international conferences.

Passionate about medical education, Dr. Lewandowska leads training programs for fellows, residents, and medical students. She also serves on several national and international advisory committees, including MASAC and multiple World Federation of Hemophilia panels.

Sol Schulman, MD, PhD

Director: Sol Schulman, MD, PhD

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

Dr. Schulman is a physician-scientist in the Division of Hemostasis and Thrombosis at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. His research integrates human genetics, functional genomics, and cell biology to better understand blood coagulation and genetic modifiers of bleeding and clotting disorders. His work has been supported by numerous national organizations, including the NIH, HTRS, and the American Society of Hematology, and recognized with several research awards.

Dr. Schulman also maintains a clinical practice focused on rare bleeding and clotting disorders and is deeply involved in medical education, serving in leadership roles for hematology training programs at Harvard and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

In addition, the proposed amendments to the HTRS bylaws were approved by the membership.
