Season of Giving: Our SEARCH for Discovery

HTRS believes every breakthrough in caring for patients with blood disorders begins with a strong community of educated, engaged, and interconnected clinicians, scientists, and allied health professionals.

Students Exploring Academic Research Careers in Hematology (SEARCH) is an educational workshop for undergraduate, graduate, medical, doctoral, and pharmacy students to discover biomedical research careers in hemostasis and thrombosis. Through hands-on experiences in the lab, one-on-one mentoring, and direct engagement with HTRS-member experts, SEARCH attendees get an inside look at the science, opportunity, and dynamic professional community in classical hematology.

SEARCH goals are simple but powerful:

  • Encourage students to learn, feel comfortable asking questions, and connect with experts and peers
  • Introduce the many possible career pathways in biomedical research
  • Connect students with leading HTRS-member experts eager to share their knowledge and experiences
  • Foster collaboration among individuals of all backgrounds who share a passion for discovery

Your support helps HTRS make SEARCH possible.

With your gift, we can expand opportunities for a wide variety of students to engage with HTRS and build our future workforce for hematology research.

Join us this Season of Giving to inspire the next generation of professionals in classical hematology.
